Take Me Back Tuesday

Family faces are magic mirrors.  Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future.  ~Gail Lumet Buckley

While looking through some old photos on Saturday, I came across this one.
This is a photo of my father and his dad circa January 1953.  My dad is only about 1.5yrs old in this photo.  Ian looked JUST like him when he was little.  Sadly my grandfather passed away the year Ian was born.

Family....

Over the last few weeks I have taken HUNDREDS of photos of my family.  Yeah, I know, shocker right!?!?  Going to Disney for a week and going to a family wedding will do that.  I have sooooo many photos I want to blog along with my experiences we had at Disney.

So let me start here.  Last Saturday we went to my cousin's wedding.  Before the wedding I took photos of my parents and the kids outside of the beautiful church.  Mom & dad, these are for you.  :)

So I am a sucker for cute kids dressed up.
So when did my baby boy get so old?

These 3 musketeers are going to get into soooo much trouble.  They kept singing friends together, friends forever the whole day.
A few days before the wedding, Lily asked me if she could wear her Cinderella costume to the wedding.  She wanted to be dressed as a princess, too.  I told her she was wearing her princess Lily dress. Lily was super excited to wear that dress because it has tulle to make it fluffy....like the tutu she puts under her Cinderella costume to make it fluffy. =)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there.

Especially Jeff....my wonderful husband! And my father!! 4 years: My Daddy can do anything!
7 years: My Dad knows a lot…a whole lot.
8 years: My father does not know quite everything.
12 years: Oh well, naturally Father does not know that either.
14 years: Oh, Father? He is hopelessly old-fashioned.
21 years: Oh, that man-he is out of date!
25 years: He knows a little bit about it, but not much.
30 years: I must find out what Dad thinks about it.
35 years: Before we decide, we will get Dad's idea first.
50 years: What would Dad have thought about that?
60 years: My Dad knew literally everything!
65 years: I wish I could talk it over with Dad once more.

Take Me Back Tuesday

A Giveaway Addicted Mommy

Thursday is my father's birthday. So for take me back Tuesday, I have decided to share these old photos. I get my love of photography from my father. Growing up my parents took lots of pictures of us. My father has an old 35mm Cannon camera. Most of the photos I have been sharing on Take Me Back Tuesday are photos he took when I was little. These photos are ones my parents took with that camera, when you had to actually buy black and white film and then find somewhere that would develop it.

When my son was born almost 8yrs ago, my father let me use his camera while my son was in the hospital for 10days (another story for another day). I took some amazing pictures of my son in the hospital with it. Then my dad went home and took his camera with him. I was not satisfied with the photos I took of my son with my crappy camera. That is when my husband & I bought my minolta 35mm camera.

You can participate and/or check out other Take Me Back Tuesday posts at A Giveaway Addicted Mommy.

Also if you haven't yet, please go on over and vote for my photo. Thanks a bunch!!
