You Capture - Orange

When I saw what this weeks theme was I knew it would have something to do with Halloween.  But I never expected to be taking these pictures though.

A few months ago my friend asked me to help her make polymer clay pumpkin place card holders for her friend's wedding that is on Halloween.  She called me Tuesday and asked me if I could come over on Wed and make them.  So yesterday I went over to her house armed with my tools.  I arrived at 9:30am and we had a marathon pumpkin making session.  When I left her house at 9:30pm last night we had all of them made, but she still had to bake all of them and add the veil to the bride and glue the flowers on the bride's head.
I returned to her house this morning after I dropped Lily off at her last pre-school class to have a mini photo session with the pumpkins.  Glad they cooperated.  ;)

We made an army of pumpkins.  There are 98 pumpkins total, including the bride and groom.
All finished and ready to be dropped off at the bride's house.
My hands still hurt and I am still exhausted.  Definitely going to bed early tonight.

On another note: I am giving away a minnie or mickey ornament, here.  (ending sometime Friday)

You Capture - Faces

While we were at the Cross Country meet on Saturday, I captured these shots of my nephew.  He is at the age where he HATES having his picture taken.  Lucky for him I LOVE to take pictures.  ;P
PS...where did time go?  When I started dating Jeff 15yrs ago, this one was a few months old....

You Capture - Togetherness

My maternal grandparents, aunt & cousins came up from Pittsburgh to visit and stay with us last weekend.  There was lots of togetherness. (Especially because my house is small)  It was great to visit with everyone.  Lily was smitten with my aunt.  She followed my aunt around, it was precious!
She also loved grandmother and all of her "pretties".
The kids had a fantastic time together.  My cousins are around Ian's age.  (one is 8mths older and the other is 9mths younger than Ian)

Yep, there was lots of togetherness.  =)

You Capture - Flowers

It seems wherever I go, I capture photos of flowers!  My scrapbook pages have them intertwined with my family photos.  While we went apple picking this weekend, I took some photos of the roses.
and not sure which version of this shot I prefer...

You Capture - Signs

While on our camping trip I captured a few signs.

We went to the Corning Museum of Glass.  This pick-up truck had beautiful glass pumpkins in it.
While waiting for Ian to go to the bathroom I looked up and saw this reflected sign on the wall.
A sign when we were getting wood one day.

You Capture - Summer

Every day when we drop Ian off at basketball or swimming Lily and I go over the the playground or play in the wadding pool.  Last week we spent most of the time over at the playground.  In the playground, the town has a "summer park program" in which you can do crafts.  Lily LOVES doing the crafts.  Her favorite one is making necklaces with the pretty beads.

You Capture - Play

Last weekend when we went to pick up the kids we spent a few hours over at my sister's house.  The kids had fun playing.  Lily was in girlie heaven, again.
Then I looked over and saw this...
And I started to play...
So what is a 9yr old boy to do while the girls are playing with all these girlie things?  Why play Wii with his dad of course...
{we gave the My Little Pony Ferris Wheel (along with a couple other things) to my niece for her 5th birthday.  She LOVED everything.}
