Sunday Citar - Beauty

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. ~ Jawaharlal Nehru

Sunday Citar - Full

“When all's said and done, all roads lead to the same end. So it's not so much which road you take, as how you take it.” ~ Charles de Lint

This week has been very full.  Full of many ups and downs.  Full of friends, family, another school year coming to a close, moving up ceremonies, a parade and a funeral for a beloved family member who will be greatly missed.  Many sad and happy tears were shed this week.

Spring Flowers

In the fall I finally remembered to plant new bulbs.  I had been meaning to do it for the last couple years.  I planted some bulbs when we moved into this house, but they do not produce many flowers anymore.  I picked hyacinths and ruffle tulips this time.  Loved the hyacinths.  They were so pretty.

I still love the little grape hyacinths.  I still get a few that come up. (I planted these when we moved into the house).
Lily took a mini bouquet of flowers to her teacher last week.  ;)

The tulips are really pretty, too.  Now if I just remember to get some pictures of those.  ;)

Wordful Wednesday - Spring

Not feeling like spring here today is western NY.  It is pretty chilly out there with a fresh dusting of snow.  Thankfully the sun is out melting it again.
Hopefully soon it will get warm enough here to see flowers.   Until then, I shall look through old photos and dream.
I took these photos on our 2011 Disney trip to the Epcot's Flower & Garden festival.
The toparies are so pretty.  I loved checking out the butterflies in the butterfly exhibit.
I even let Ian take a picture of me.  :)

Hidden

On the first day of school Ian found this little friend hiding out in our zinnias.  LOVE how he seems to be always looking for treasures like that. Aware of the tiniest details.  Like when he found the TINY snail...

Wordful Wednesday - Hello Beautiful!

Last week when I left to take Lily to school, we had a beautiful surprise.  This beautiful butterfly in our flowers.  The kids have been waiting patiently to see if the flowers we got from Disney would in fact bring butterflies like the butterfly exhibit where they were passing the package of  seeds out.

The beautiful butterfly was there when I went back to pick Lily up and when we got home.  These Zinnias have been the free gift that keeps on giving.  My husband & I cut off a bunch of heads so we can replant them next year.  They are so beautiful and are still blooming new flowers.
