Take Me Back Tuesday & Flashback Friday

Christmas Morning 1983
10 yrs old

My sister & I still have our Strawberry Shortcake Dolls.  I have not let my kids play with my old ones yet.

My mother would make my sister & I nightgowns every year (see more of what she made us here) and put them on our bed on Christmas eve.

What precious memories!

I don't sew, but always got my boys new PJs that they could open on Christmas Even and wear to bed that night.

Morning Melanie! You and your sister were so cute! Your mom made the most adorable things...those dresses with the matching bonnets were just the best! You two looked like you stepped right out of Little House! ADORABLE!!!
Happy late Christmas! xoxo

I think my sister and my dolls are in mom's basement. I'll have to go find them!

Did you ever hear of Herself the Elf dolls? We had those also, but I think we're the only kids who did.

I always take pictures of the presents the girls get because I think it is so fun to be able to look back and remember what fun toys you received.

How fun that you still have your dolls.

Isn't it crazy how the stuff we played with is considered cool once again? Kind of like 80s fashion and leg warmers...ack!

I have to say something about the hip plaid couch! I remember my aunt having one and being so jealous because we had a boring avocado green one.

I think that if I had little girls I would have to steal your mom's tradition of making pajamas each year. Well, if I would have to learn to sew first. Ha, who am I kidding. I would buy them and put them out. It is the thought that counts, right?

I am sooo off this week. I am sorry I am so late visiting. I LOVE the new header. Especially the picture of the two kids together. So sweet!
