Aloha Friday

It is Aloha Friday! In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend.

This weeks question is:
What is the longest/farthest road trip you have taken?

My husband & I had taken lots of road trips before we had kids.  We have taken a few with the kids, but many more before kids came into the picture.  The farthest trip we have taken was before we were married when we drove to Huston, TX.  We were planning on moving there because my husband was going to attend a college there.  We drove from Buffalo to Huston in August to check it out, find a place to live and find jobs.  That was a LONG drive.  On a side note, while we liked Huston, we decided on that trip that we were going to stay in Buffalo.  Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to move there.  It was HOT & HUMID the week we were there....not necessarily a place to visit in August.  A far cry from Buffalo in January.

Oy Vey...I am in for a LONG ride with this little one in the car.... (these photos were taken in the car a few weeks ago while waiting for my friend).

How could any time in the car with that adorable face not be great?
We flew to San Francisco a few years ago and then spent 2 weeks driving around. It all added up to quite a long trip!

From Florida to Maine, we've done it several times over the years with our dogs.

From Seattle to Pennsylvania when the hubby helped me move out here - we stopped and visited all the tourist spots along the way. With Princess Nagger, it's been 18 hour drives to Louisiana and Iowa - she does great on road trips, and is looking forward to another one this summer. Hopefully she'll still be enthralled with long rides in the car when we move back to Seattle! :)

Yes . I'm not sure I'd want to live in Houston. Right now I want to move from LA in summer until winter again.

We (the whole family) drove from Louisiana to Alaska in 2008. It was an adventure.

Happy Mother's Day!

As a kid...my parents took me everywhere. We went from Los Angeles to Chicago, New Orleans, Kentucky, Canada, South Dakota and probably more. As an adult that I remember, from here to Idaho (about 15 hours).

Have a good trip!! What a cutie! The longest road trip I did was from NY to BC when I moved to Canada with my husband. That was a long 5 days, but fun at the same time :) Have a wonderful vacation!
