“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” - Alice

Reese's Bow
Last week I posted photos of the Peanut Butter Cup bow center I made. Ashley posted a photo of the completed bow and outfit on my Facebook Fan page. They turned out adorable!

No More Tears...
A few weeks ago I wrote about all the Tears we had over our broken mini Lalaloopsy doll. I glued her leg on and she now only stands. The company came through (see note below) and mailed Lily a new doll to replace her broken one...
Please note:
I had MANY back and forth e-mails with the customer service department of Lalaloopsy. Their policy for broken toys is to mail the item back (UPS or FED EX), with the receipt and packaging info. Which, in my opinion, is RIDICULOUS. It would cost me more to mail all that info to them using the most expensive way to send something than to walk into the store and repurchase the item. On top of that, my daughter received this for a gift so we do not have the receipt. I did have the packaging because it doubled as a house and my daughter wanted to keep it. Otherwise I would have thrown it out. Most companies will apologize and mail you a gift certificate to purchase a new one or at least a postage paid sticker to place on the box if they wanted you to return it. I was not happy about their policy for broken items at all, considering it seemed to be an issue with manufacturing because there are MANY people whom are having the same issue with the legs and heads breaking off of these dolls. I was told by a rep that as a "one time courtesy that she would forward my e-mail to a supervisor".
In the end I was pleased & thankful that a supervisor mailed me a new doll and Lily is very happy which makes me happy.
I just feel sorry for the rest of the people who will have to deal with this nightmare of the "broken item/return policy" of this company.

Wordful Wednesday - YUM
(made by me out of polymer clay without molds.)
This is my version of my favorite candy. I created this out of polymer clay for a customer who asked me a few weeks ago to create a Reese Peanut butter cup with the R logo on the front. It is going to be a bow center for a little girl named Reese. =)
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite candy, what's yours?

Naughty Kitty
It is pretty sad that I have not taken any new pictures of my kids since new years. :(
I have taken pictures of my clay creations, a broken Lalaloopsy doll...and my Naughty Kitty on the kitchen counterbeing annoying waiting to be fed dinner. She knew she wasn't supposed to be on the counter...she was just staring at me waiting for me to get up and feed her.
I really need to pull out my camera more often.

Tears.
There were many tears yesterday morning when Lily brought her Mini Pillow Featherbed Lalaloopsy over to me broken. The leg just snapped off. We have had it for a week...and it's already broken. Sad thing is when I checked the Lalaloopsy fan page on facebook right after it happened there was another customer that had the exact thing happen to her daughter's Mini Pillow Featherbed. After closer inspection of the dolls, pillow featherbed is the only one with legs like this, the rest dangle under a dress.
So now I have to figure out which way to glue her leg back on. Sitting down...or standing? Lily has voted for standing.
Edited to add: I contacted the company yesterday and am still waiting to hear back from them.

Sneak Peeks
I have had a personal facebook account for a few years. I created a fan page for my business a while ago. I never really used my fan page until a few months ago. I am so glad I did! I LOVE posting sneak peeks of what I am working on. I have a tendency of posting photos of custom orders there. Here is a custom bow center I posted last night. This one will end up being a personalized ornament next Christmas.

Sunday Citar
Love is the flower you've got to let grow. ~ John Lennon
I took these on Christmas. We spent Christmas our friends, Tom & Sharon...whom are like family now. Thank you guys for such a wonderful day! We had a fantastic time. The guitar was a gift to Tom (who is a musician) from Sharon's sister & brother-in-law. What an awesome find...oh and it made a great prop for photos. ;P
