Fall...

All our leaves have fallen and it is rainy out today (yep, only raining here in Buffalo). I would love to share some of my pictures I took a few weeks ago of the kids playing in the leaves. It was a beautiful day outside and the kids had a wonderful time. These little moments are the things I am grateful for!

(my son is a ham...he LOVES to get his picture taken)

New News

It's finally here! Lollishops is now open. There have been a few glitches and they are in the process of ironing them all out. I was able to set up my shop yesterday. I currently do not have much listed there...trying to figure out a couple of things first. Everyone still hasn't been able to set up their shops yet. I was one of the lucky ones that received their set up e-mail and didn't have any problems.
I did come up with a name for my newest snowman. Please meet Sherbert. I have listed him here on etsy. You can get Sherbert as an ornament or figurine. My Sherbert is watching me while I do dishes.

I also found myself in two treasuries this morning. Thank you so much Boy Girl Boy Girl Designs & Little Bug Jewelry for including my creations! Click here to be taken to this treasury.

Here is a sneak peak of are a couple new creations I made last night. Let me know what you think. I am planning on making these birds in different colors....I only had pink feathers. I also need to take better pictures.

I am in love with this little snowman. He is a figure. I can make him into an ornament, too. What should I name him?

Orders, Orders, Orders!

I have been really busy lately creating custom orders for customers. I enjoy people coming to me and creating something special for them and their family. I especially love the stories that come with each request. Thank you for letting me make your holiday special! Here are just a few examples of the custom ornaments I have made.

This ornament was made for my very first customer, Amy of Giggleberry.

This one was for a customer that wanted a present for a wedding she is attending in Dec. All of the guests are bringing ornaments to decorate a tree for the bride and groom. What a lovely idea!

This one was made for a customer that was looking for an ornament that would fit her multi cultural family. They are foster/adoptive parents who have 2 Caucasian kids, 2 Hispanic kids and 1 Native American child & wanted them all represented. I guess she searched all over last year and could not find an ornament to represent them. I was more than happy to make this for her.

This one was made for a customer who has a son who loves his Tye-Dye Chameleon stuffed animal. His parents wanted an ornament to keep as a memory from this special time in his life.

This ornament turned out beautiful, but has a sad story that goes with it. A friend of a woman who gave birth to triplets contacted me to make this one. There was a delicate issue...one of the babies was born with genetic defect called anophthalmia, and that means that when he was in utero his eyes did not develop. So, he was born without eyes and his eyelids are fused shut. She wanted me to make one of the babies look like he was sleeping. Of course as a mother my heart just broke for the mother of these beautiful babies. I had to make this for her and I am very pleased on how it turned out.

If you have a special request for an ornament please e-mail me through my blog or convo me through my etsy shop. Christmas is coming fast!

I am really impressed and can't get enough of her fabulous pictures of her yummy looking creations. So here are just a few of her creations. My daughter is obsessed with Cinderella at the moment. These are fantastic!

She also does cakes. What girl would not love this? I know I want one and I am 35. =D

Piccolini

Along my blog tours I have found a fabulous Italian illustrator and her blog. Turns out she is also a member of FAM! Her name is Gaia and she is the artist behind Piccolini.

She held a contest last week for two of these Snow Catcher Cards and two Big Hug Minicards.

I was the lucky winner!! I can't wait to receive my goodies. This is one of my favorites in her shop. It's a Vintage Bunny Set of 4 Note Cards, Envelopes and Seals for only $6.00. How adorable!

I also found out while looking through her flickr that she also creates with clay. This is one of her amazing creations.

You should really check out her etsy shop and blog.

Buffalo

I received this e-mail the other day from my father. Most of these are true, some are just silly. It did bring a smile to my face. Thank you dad! Dad, even though you do not live here anymore you are still a Western New Yorker all the way! BTW~my favorite is the one about the equal number of bars and churches...that one is very true! They did forget to ad Beef on Weck to the list. Yummy!

Beautiful Daisies

I have loved daisies forever. Ever since I saw them used in a Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine 11 years ago. It was so beautiful I knew I had to use them in my wedding. They were the theme of my wedding 10 years ago. After I saw this photo that Allie from allieart4children had in her shop, I wanted to create a beautiful daisy treasury. I love pink and daisies. Please check out her other lovely photos she has in her shop, blog and her new blog called Ordinary Matters, where Allie & another photographer are taking a new picture a day.

Buffalo Indie Market

Sunday was my second Buffalo Indie Market show. It was at the Pearl Street Brewery. I never blogged about how the first show. The first show went ok. I made back the entry fee, had a fabulous yummy lunch without my kids hanging on me and met a couple really nice people. One of those really nice people was Michelle, the artist behind Funky Furnishings. She told me about a local shop called Village Artisans that sells local artists creations. The shops owner was looking for ornaments like mine. I contacted her and this Thursday I am bringing my ornaments to put in her shop. I am very excited about this fantastic opportunity. This month's show did not go as well. I didn't make back my entry fee. But, I did have a yummy lunch though! I also met another artist who also sells on etsy. She was very friendly and sweet. You definitely should check out her shop, The Midnight Orange. They story behind her shop and her family are amazing as are her items she has for sale. Here is just one of her creations, Spoon Full of Sugar.

I was also Spotted by Buffalo.com. Click here to see the rest of the pictures of the Buffalo Indie Market show that were taken by spotted.
