Christmas 2013

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year.
Santa was very generous this year.  My living room looks like a toy store blew up.  We spent the afternoon with great friends and had an amazing time.
On a personal note, I ended up in the ER on Monday night in a lot of pain.  After some tests, I found out I have pleurisy (inflammation of the membrane surrounding the lungs).  I am grateful that I no longer have pneumonia (it's all gone according to the x-ray) and that I do not have a blood clot (was a possibility).  After some pain medication along with some anti-inflammatory meds, I am feeling much much better.  Here's to a new year and a clean slate.

Happy Birthday Lily! {part 2}

Time to get ready for a party...

Did you not know that you have to put your hands on your hips and twist to strike a pose?
 She was too cute!
She absolutely loved her birthday outfit.

Pinkie Pie tutu dress from DesignsbyClaudia on etsy.
Custom Bow made by my talented friend Monae,  Graceful Girls.

Time to party!

Happy Birthday Lily! {part 1}

On the 14th Lily turned 7!  Where does time go?

I took so many photos so I am going to write a few posts instead of cramming this one full of them.

She was so excited to open her presents.  I got her to wait until 9am. Which is really hard for an excited 7yr old.

So glad daddy wrapped everything for me.
This Rainbow Dash sweatshirt was her favorite.

She was so excited it even had wings!
Last but not least, new artwork for her room.

On another note...she is growing out her bangs and they drive me nuts when they are in her face.  O_o

Missing...

I have been missing since Thanksgiving.  :(

At least missing from this blog.

Here is the scoop.

I ended up with the Flu the weekend after Thanksgiving.  The flu sucks!  Then I went to the dr on Mon, Dec. 9th and found out I have pneumonia.  Pneumonia SUCKS!!  I am feeling much better than I did, but no where 100%.  For the last 3 weeks I have been sick.  I can tell you this is NOT how I wanted to start my 40's and the holiday season.

Wordful Wednesday - Chicken in the Basket

We are back from our vacation.

I had an amazing time at Disney!

Now I have to go through all of my photos. There are a boat load of photos.  I did manage to post a few while on in Florida to instagram here.

We had a good time at the Halloween Party.

Best present ever!!  BTW, my husband ROCKS!  :)

Big Day!

Yesterday was the big day!
When it was their turn to perform, I was soooo nervous for Ian.
These kids are a great bunch.  They even have a mini "tuba" meeting after each warm-up.  :D
They did an amazing job yesterday performing.

LOVE it!!
Just awesome!

After all of the bands played from both Large School Divisions.  It was score time.  All of the bands take the field.
As a parent, it was nerve wracking when the announcer was calling out the scores and schools for each place.  With each one called we got closer and closer to 1st.  So when they called 2nd place.....we knew we were the only ones left!  I have a sore throat this morning from hooting and hollering so much and many happy tears were shed.
Well, they did it!

West Seneca Marching Band came in 1st place in their division yesterday at the Carrier Dome!!!

We met up with the band at a rest area on the way home.  :)

The 4 tubas (sousaphones).  The 2 on the left are seniors this year and the one behind Ian is a Junior.

Ian is sooooo happy and on cloud 9.  What a way to start off 6 years of high school Marching Band!  I am so proud of all that he as put into this & how much he absolutely LOVES it. Can't wait to do it again next year!
