"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams." ~ Ashley Smith

Aloha Friday #33
It is Aloha Friday! In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your comment below and link in Kailani’s blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
This weeks question is:
How long have you been blogging? Why did you start your blog?
My blog turned 2 years old July 18th. I started this blog as a way for me to share my creations with customers, family and friends. I still remember contemplating starting one and wondering if anyone would read it and also wondering if my family would think I was being silly. I am very glad I took the leap and created this blog. It has turned into so much more over the last couple years. Thank you to each and every one of you who have read my blog, supported my business & all of your wonderful supportive comments. I have made some wonderful friends all over the world while blogging. I have also been able to share my life with family & friends. It also warms my heart when my husband comes home and says he showed people at work pictures of the kids on my blog. {he looked at me funny when I told him I was going to start blogging} It has been fun to look back over those years while creating my blog books. {you can read more about the books, here.}
Looking forward to many more years.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

You Capture - Play
Last weekend when we went to pick up the kids we spent a few hours over at my sister's house. The kids had fun playing. Lily was in girlie heaven, again.
Then I looked over and saw this...
And I started to play...
So what is a 9yr old boy to do while the girls are playing with all these girlie things? Why play Wii with his dad of course...
{we gave the My Little Pony Ferris Wheel (along with a couple other things) to my niece for her 5th birthday. She LOVED everything.}
Go on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry to see other You Capture's for this week.

Because I LOVE photo challenges I am linking up this week over at Paper Mama.
This week's challenge is: Absolute Favorite
I am also linking to Chatting at the Sky and Life with my 3 boybarians.
I had a hard time picking my absolute favorite. I have many favorites and they seem to change each day.
I am really smitten with this one lately. {it's my facebook profile pic right now}
I REALLY LOVE my new lens.
Check out all of the other favorites at the Paper Mama.

Look what...
the kids made Jeff & I for our anniversary...
The morning of our anniversary the kids decided to make us a card. It was adorable!! They also tried to make us breakfast in bed. I came downstairs to 2 plates out with a cereal bar on each. LMBO!
Here is a closeup of the card. (gotta love 9yr old spelling...)
Ian's picture... (BTW...I have only been married for 12 yrs, not 13)
Lily's picture...
Thank you Ian & Lily for the adorable card.
{ PSSS....my porch looks terrible...we need to paint it. I finally found a paint color I like and plan on painting it very soon. YAY! }

This weeks question is:
Are you a bath or shower person? Do you prefer to take them in the morning or evening?
I am a shower person and I prefer to take them in the morning first thing. It seems to wake me up and I feel more productive after I take one in the morning.

Staycation 2010
On Monday, we took the kids to my parents' house in PA to stay for the week.
(it has been a ritual for a few years now)
The kids have been so excited! Ian & Lily started packing their toys earlier in the week. It was too cute. Lily was counting down sleeps. She was super excited to have a long slumber party at Nana's house. Ian woke up early on Monday and got dressed so he was ready to go. Once dressed he ended up waking up the whole house, he was so excited about leaving.
After dropping them off we took our time coming home. We went to 3 of our favorite places outside of Pittsburgh, Don Pablos for linner (lunch/dinner), IKEA & Half Price Books. I am wishing we had these things in Buffalo.
On Tuesday, we went wine tasting. We had a wonderful time. Our favorite wineries were Schulze Winery & Niagara Landing. Their wines are so tasty!!
While we were out we went to Olcott (like we did last year) and I got to take more photos of flowers. I love taking photos of flowers.
We also took photos of each other.
Yesterday, most of the day we vegged out at home doing nothing but watching movies we rented. We did go out to lunch. Not sure what we are going to do today. Tomorrow we are going back to my parents' house. I want to go visit my grandparents before we come home on Sunday. (My grandmother had surgery about a month ago)

...rode every ride at Darien Lake this summer.
...would wear your crocs everyday.
...still take your socks off as soon as you get in the door.
