Not Me Monday - wk7

I did not stand in line for 45min on Tuesday to sign my son up for swimming. While standing in line, my daughter did not walk up to a boy and give him a hug and my son did not declare after chatting with a different boy he made a friend. I did not wish it was that easy for adults to make friends.

It did not warm my heart when my daughter said 'my best friend Ian' and wanted to hold his hand while I was pushing her in the stroller. Kids say the darnedest things!

I did not decide this week that I am going to put my shop on vacation for the month of July. I do not have a holiday, wedding, 3 anniversaries, a mini vacation and a birthday in the month of July. Whew, I am not tired just thinking about all of those celebrations.

I did not go to 2 parties on Saturday. One party was not for my nephew. My nephew did not turn 14. (OMG...where does time go?!?!) I met my husband babysitting that sweet little baby boy. My brother-in-law introduced me to my husband shortly after my nephew was born. I remember teaching him to say the word car. He is no longer a baby...he is almost as tall as my husband. Which is scary seeing my husband is 6'2".
The second party was not a graduation party for a friend's son. I did not feel old watching the teenagers screwing around. We did have lots of fun. I did not take lots of photos of flowers. =P

I have not lost 5lbs in the past 2weeks. I do not have 40lbs to go.

I did not stop the car on Saturday to take a picture of that damn cottonwood tree. Remember last week?
So what have you NOT been doing this week?
**I also wanted to add, my grandmother came home from the hospital on Saturday. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes this week. We think she needs hip replacement surgery. She has a cast up her arm past her elbow. She will not be painting for some time.
This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Great post, Melanie! Maybe I can participate in this one soon. Kids do grow up way too fast!

Great post. I also think it would be nice if adults made friends as easily as children. My husband has been complaining about the cottonwoods in our neighborhood but I've never noticed any quite that bad. Maybe I am just not paying attention.

Great name by the way. :)

Good grief about that tree. Some days I'm one with nature and some days... I've had it.

Also, I had a good friend say (when he was a junior in high school and I was a sophomore)... "the freshmen get younger every year"! You know, I think he's right.

Happy Monday!

Good job on losing 5lbs. And enjoy your vacation from your shop. Everyone needs some time off, especially working moms
