Wordful Wednesday - Tow Mater Fun

A few weeks ago the Disney Store's Facebook Fan Page had a contest.  It was a Car's contest.  To enter you needed to upload a photo of a cars character.  I entered this photo I took at Hollywood Studios.  When I checked back to see the finalists I never saw my photo so I figured oh well, better luck next time.  Well, Tuesday afternoon I received an e-mail from Disney stating my photo won second prize!  How cool is that!  Thank you!

This week's challenge is: Absolute Favorite
I am also linking to Chatting at the Sky and Life with my 3 boybarians.

I had a hard time picking my absolute favorite.  I have many favorites and they seem to change each day.
I am really smitten with this one lately.  {it's my facebook profile pic right now}

Silly Lily

One day a few months ago I took the kids to Wendy's and got them kids meals. In the meals there were these "secret agent" badges you could disguise with stickers. I was busy doing something that afternoon and looked up to see Lily disguising herself and she was pretty proud, too. I love how she put the eyes up by her actual eyes. She can be so silly.

I am entering this silly photo of Lily in the Silly Kids Photo Contest on 5 Minutes for Mom.

(I had a really hard time narrowing down the Lily silliness photos, remember
here & here?)

I can not believe...

That fall is just around the corner! It is very hard to imagine, especially since we have been having a bit of a heat wave here in Buffalo. YAY, summer finally arrived here. (It has been a weird summer here)

Anywho, with fall around the corner I am itching to make new ornaments. Here are a couple that are in my shop. These made their debut last fall, but I love them. I bought a glittered tree at Michael's (with a 40% coupon) last year and hung them all over it. I put the pumpkin clusters and kitties underneath.

On another note, I entered my cake place card holders in the Martha Stewart's DIY Wedding Crafts Contest. You can find my entry here. I would love if everyone could give me 5 stars and leave a comment. The contest ends Sept 1st. and will be announced Oct. 15th. I have loved Martha Stewart Weddings ever since I was planning my wedding 12 years ago and saw the daisy themed wedding they did (I still have that magazine). After seeing that article I decided that I would use daisies as my theme. I made all of my favors for my wedding, polymer clay daisy magnets. Please Note: You do have to create an account with Martha Stewart's site to leave a comment or give me 5 stars.

I still can not believe that fall is just around the corner!

Wordless Wednesday

Ok, not so wordless....

These pictures were taken with my new camera. (LOVE IT!!)

Giraffes are my favorite animal & I couldn't stop smiling (and did a little happy dance) when she came over to greet me. Maybe that's why she stared at me for so long?

They were taken at the Erie Zoo in Erie, PA on April 25th, 2009. (btw....it's one of my favorite zoos)

**Please vote for me #6 here.

**Don't forget my about my giveaway, here.

I Want One Of These

I would love this new camera strap from tanyBug's etsy shop. Most of my friends and family know how much I love to take pictures and scrapbook. As a child my father took lots of pictures of my sister and I with his Kodak 35 millimeter camera. When my son was born 7 years ago my parents came up and they let me use their camera. I took some beautiful pictures. After they left, I was stuck using my cheaper camera and boy there is a difference. I talked my husband into buying a nice 35 millimeter camera with an extra telephoto lens. Since then I have taken beautiful pictures of my family and even pictures for a wedding. I love taking my camera everywhere. Yes, I am still using film. I only use my digital camera for my blog/etsy site. My husband likes to call our outings photo ops. I still have the original camera strap that came in my camera kit. Oh yeah, my old camera strap has even been spit up on by my son.

Contests and Giveaways

As most of my friends know I love giveaways and contests. This past weekend I won a pair of earrings. Last week I won soap and a couple of weeks ago I won a gift certificate to a fantastic jewelry shop on Etsy. As I receive the items I will do write ups on the lovely shops and share my fantastic items I receive.

I received this fabulous Sweet Shea Butter Soap in the mail this week. This natural & organic soap is from the etsy store Soapcre8ions, http://www.soapcr8ions.etsy.com/. I won this because I killed a thread on Esty Forums. I should have a complex, but I don't because this is fabulous bar of soap smells so good. I gave this to my friend today for a little something nice. She loved it!

Not only do they have homemade soaps, they also have spa salts, scrubs and balms.

The Etsy group I belong to, FAM, is running a Back to School contest. This contest is running from July 28th through August 10th, 2008. To play find the Hidden Owls or make a purchase to be entered into a drawing for amazing FAM BUCK prizes. Go get all of the details here http://fam-fabulousartisticmoms.blogspot.com/.

So I have spent the past couple of days entering blog giveaways. This site does this quarterly, maybe next quarter I will participate. Wow, when I started on Monday there were 100 as of this evening there are 900 of them. So many good things to win and so many great blogs to read. Check out the contest by clicking on the bloggy giveaways button on my page.
