Wordful Wednesday - Peacocks

While at the Buffalo zoo on Sunday we came across 3 peacocks.  They are so pretty and it's awesome that they wander around and so you can see them up close.  The kids stood here for quite a while watching them.

Wordful Wednesday

On Sunday we went with friends to the 2012 Wildlife Festival at the New York Power Vista.  It was a bit cold, but warmed up a bit by the time we left.

While we were there we saw these beautiful birds.

The golden eagle was just beautiful!

We also saw lots of different other animals, learned about electricity and watched a couple of shows.  Not to mention the yummy fair food we had.

PS - Don't forget to enter the Pick Your Plum giveaway!

LOVE

I love going on the Disney Animal Kingdom's Safari.  I get to see my favorite animal...
I could spend all day taking photos of them.
What a wonderful way to spend this morning.

(When we went on our Disney honeymoon 14yrs ago, that was the year the Animal Kingdom opened.  At that time Asia had not been completed.)

We are now 1/2 way though our adventure.

All the Little Stuffies....

I want to share my mother's love of crocheting with everyone. She has tried to show me to crochet, but I'll leave it up to her. She has been making these 'mini stuffies' for my son for the past few years now. He loves getting packages in the mail from my mom. You never know what new mini stuffy you will get next. She crochets using patterns made for larger animals and does them with a smaller hook and thinner thread. It's so hard to choose a favorite. I love them all for different reasons. Which one is your favorite? Here are just a few. Come check out the rest of my sons collection here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/melaniescrafts/sets/72157606057766884/
