Did you guess?
Yesterday I posted the photo to the left and was wondering if anyone could guess where it was taken. Monday was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was supposed to be 69 degrees. We decided to take advantage of such a beautiful day, so we took a small trip only 30 minutes away and this is what we saw...Frankenstein eating a burger...
Which was on top of the Burger King... (my husband told me I do touristy really well with my camera...lol)
The Fudge Factory where I used to buy (way before kids) LOTS and LOTS of beanie babies (yes...I must confess, I have a lot of those in my attic). I have to admit it did not look like this then...
Inside looks even better...
We even played in a beautiful park, called the Oakes Garden Theatre.
The kids had a ball running up and down the big hill. It was such a beautiful day.
My husband had everyone do something silly.
Sneaking kisses.
Have you guessed it yet?
We went to Niagara Falls, Canada. It is so beautiful on the Canadian side of the border. I really wish the US would get their crap together and make our side look like theirs. My son really wants to go back. There is so much to see and do. The pictures of the shops/museums were taken on what is known as Clifton Hill which has changed a TON since they put the casino in the old Maple Leaf Village in 1996. That garden is beautiful and one of my favorite things...beside looking at the beautiful landmark, Niagara Falls.
Have any of you been to the falls in the winter? No, I am not crazy and yes it is cold. The falls are just GORGEOUS in the winter!! All of the mist sticks to everything and leaves this sparkly icy coating over every surface. Yes, you do have to be careful because it does get slippery. I have to laugh because one of the times my parents took us there as children I can vividly remember my father reminding us to be careful and then he went down with a big thud.

Oh Melanie...it's gorgeous. What a fun trip for the kids (and mom and dad!).
You have to have passport to cross over now, don't you? Not that I'm illegal or anything LOL, I just think it's rather bizarre.
Hi Melanie! I loved this little tour! Your photos are just fantastic! I can't believe I'm a New Yorker, and I still haven't been to the Falls! I'm also a winter lover so when I do go, it's going to be cold! You have SUCH a cute family! Hugs, Paulette
Wow. Awesome pictures. That is a fancy Burger King! I went to Niagra Falls, Canada - but not since I was 8 yrs. old. I always wanted to go back.
My husband went on a business trip there about 5 yrs ago, and got stuck in a major snow storm. He couldn't even fly out of there they had to drive like 8 hrs to get home.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes I will confess for my dad I have way too many tubs of beanies in my attic and my dad has more than humanly possible... You guys are such a beautiful family glad you got out and enjoyed the beauty of the day. I have yet to make it to Canada but with all you said and all those beautiful photo's I am going to add it to my bucket list!
Gorgeous photos! Although the Frankenstein freaks me out a bit! :) I haven't been to Niagra Falls in so long. All of these photos make me want to go back.
Wow! Looks like you guys had so much fun! Great photos. They make me want to take a fun-filled trip as well!
Oh, that looked like a lotta fun.

Beautiful!! I'm from Canada...but I obviously live farther away from the falls than you do! :) It looks like such a great place to visit though...glad you had a great time!! (p.s. your kids are adorable too!)
That is so funny!!
Oh what wonderful photos...that Fudge Factory looks like heaven. And thanks for the lovely memories. I have actually been to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls and have to agree it is stunning. I am in Oz.
