This morning I woke up to a light dusting of snow. Our satellite dish was covered (had to throw water on it so we could watch tv). It is snowing still. What a difference from the past few days.
On Thursday we went to Ian's book fair at school. When we got to the school, Ian had to show us his monster her made. They made them because cursive is scary.....what is scary is that my 2nd grader already knows cursive. They are teaching the kids so many things earlier than we learned them years ago.
Are the kids interested in the books...NO...they want the neat pencils, markers and erasers. I was the same way though. I had a pretty cool pencil/pen collection. Because I am still a pack rat I am pretty sure they are still in my attic stashed with my sticker collection and my notes we passed in high school. Do you still have those things from childhood?...
While daddy & Ian looked at books Lily ran around the other half of the gym.
After the book fair we went for ice cream. Mmmmm (my parents miss WNY custard...we call it soft ice cream here)....Ian had vanilla cone with cherry dip, Lily had vanilla in a cup and Jeff & I split a carmel sundae.

I don't have notes from high school, but I have songs and stories that we wrote. I also have stories my friends and I wrote in grade school/middle school. So I'm in the same boat as you (and I do still have some pencils and stickers from way back when. Too cute to use!).
Books! My first memory of book fairs was getting "The Hobbit". I remember mom complaining that it was the most expensive book there (!)but I read that thing a million times.
We are expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow overnight, too. Your kids are so cute!

I'd love to read the notes from high school...I have a few, but not that many. My BFF back then still does, though, so I can always ask her if I want to walk down memory lane!
I am lovin' the kids pictures with ice cream smiles!!
Hopin' you will be joining us again for Take Me Back Tuesday!!
