Mamalicious Monday

Playdoh....love it or hate it?
I personally don't mind it....as long as the kids play with it over hardwood floors. Yes, I am not a fan on cleaning up the little pieces, but once they dry a vacuum works great. I have never made my own dough before.
I decided to take it out the other day and let my kids have a ball. I have TONS of playdoh and even more TOYS for playdoh. I bought most of them on the clearance rack at Target.

This is Ian's contraption. He LOVES to make contraptions.Lily played with the playdoh a lot longer than Ian did. She sat there for hours. The one thing I hate about playdoh is when it sticks to clothes, especially socks. It washes out ok, it is just annoying. This was the mess I ended up with. It wouldn't have been as bad, but Ian insisted he had to make mini pieces for his sister. Yep, leave it up to 7yr old boys to come up with brilliant plans. =D Instead of trying to stick these little pieces back into the containers (most of it was was old) I grabbed a broom and threw it out.

Oh yeah, check back tomorrow....planning on havin a little giveaway.

Those sure do look like fun play dough contraptions...but the mess!! Argh! I can't stand the mess play dough makes, but I try to be a good Mom too & grin & bear it!! ;)

They look like they had a blast! My youngest son has always been more into playdoh than the oldest, but he's the messy one, so that's not always a good thing!

I love it! Playdough is great! It is the perfect fine motor activity to strengthen those little hands enough to write and draw. It is a mess but the deal we have is that they have to be the ones to clean it up!

ahh looks like fun...I dont mind either. I use a plastic table cloth and we sit on the floor...that way I can just take it and dump all the little crumby pieces outside afterwards...and yeah I hid the little confetti maker we have cause I hate all the little itty bitty pieces.

Looks like they had a great time! What is that thing anyway - a drill? Sewing machine?

LOL! Playdoh was something I didn't get to have as a kid so as soon as Zack was old enough not to eat it, I went wild!
