Fisher Price

When did 1/2 of August fly by?  WOW, summer is almost coming to an end.

Lily starts Fisher Price Pre-School next week.

The Fisher Price headquarters is pretty close to where I live.  They use local people to do toy testing, product modeling shoots and have small preschool sessions there.  After I had Ian I found out about the toy testing program and signed us up.  Over the last 9yrs, Ian, Lily & myself (they even have mom panels) have done testing for Fisher Price.  Ian even did a video shoot for them a couple years ago.  When you test for them you either get cash, toy bucks to spend in their store and/or get to keep the product you are testing.  Ian was able to attend their pre-school when he was Lily's age and I think Lily is going to have so much fun.  She is only going for 8wks, 2 days a week for 2 hrs each day...we are super excited.  There are only 3 girls and 3 boys in each session.

Here is a flashback to Lily on 4-18-07 when she was only 5 months old, with the first toy she tested for Fisher Price.  (This one we got to test at home and keep.)
Time flies by.

Fisher Price Playdate

Yea!!! The day has finally arrived. I spend the past few days cleaning the house. Trying to get everything in order for my guests to have fun at my Fisher Price House Party. Now for those of you who have not been to my house, it is 980 square feet and 2 stories. It's on the small side. Now, please keep in mind I have a partially finished basement. The basement is not included in the 980 sq feet. I also have a full attic for storage. Now imagine 8 kids and 11 adults and big toys. I have to say it was fun and went very well. No crying and my daughter was ok with sharing most of the toys...BTW this was because my friend brought her some purses and she carried those around most of the party. The kids were fantastic and it was great to get to talk to my mom friends that I don't see all of the time. Reps from Fisher Price came and were fantastic. They took pictures and video of the party. They were very friendly and a pleasure to have here. They gave all of the kids the Amazing Animals Tug Time Tugboat in addition to the fabulous gifts we were sent already. One of the funniest memories was when my daughter decided to be the cookie monster and pull over the plate of cookies and try to pick all of them up at once (without the plate). I wish I would have had a camera in my hand.
Lots of toys and kids.

First Day of School

Today was Ian's first day of 2nd grade.
He was a bit nervous. We all went outside to get him on the bus this morning. Lily cried when he left. I think she wanted to go with him. At about 1pm she started saying 'Ian' and I told her he was at school and he would be home later. She said 'yeah'. Then we repeated that process for about 15min and she then started to wave at the window....toddlers are so funny and cute.

After Ian got onto the bus this morning I put together my toys (click here to see the post for list of what I received) for the Fisher Price House Party I am having Sunday. Lily was having a ball. I am just worried she isn't going to want to share her new toys on Sunday.

She had so much fun with the boxes...

She had to check out the front of the pony...

She danced while bouncing to the music...
I can't wait for the party on Sunday. Reps from Fisher Price are coming out for about a half an hour to take pictures and video of the party. They are bringing extra toys for my guests. We are going to have tons of fun!

Feeling Lucky

I have been very lucky lately. My father sent me an e-mail yesterday telling me I should buy a lottery ticket.

I have been entering many bloggy giveaways. I decided that it was my turn to giveaway something. I am giving away a set (your choice of color) of my snowflakes. Mommy Confessions is having 10 days of giveaways, my snowflakes are day 6. There is still time to enter them all. Just click here to enter.

I received this mini chocolate cake yesterday in the mail. My daughter immediately took it from me. This lovely cake was made by Sierra Pelona Crochet. You should check out her other items in her shop. I won this on Holly's Designs Blog. She is having another giveaway now and it looks like she has them weekly.

In the past few weeks I won a couple different sets of hair clippies, a fantastic customized birthday package from itsybitsybunny. If that wasn't enough, I was just selected to have a Fisher Price party by House Party. This is pretty amazing! They are sending me a party pack of ...
