I LOVE to take photos.
LOL, my husband says I think everything is a photo-op.
He is right. ;)
I like to document lots of things. Not to mention I had to take great shots of my products to use in my shop.
I finally took the plunge in April of 2009 and bought a DSLR camera. At the time, I decided to purchase a Sony one. Not typically a popular choice in DSLR cameras. Most people choose Nikon or Cannon when buying DSLR's. I was upgrading from the film Minolta SLR I bought in 2001 after my son was born. I absolutely LOVED my Minolta. I also had an extra telephoto lens for it and didn't want to start from scratch. What I found out was Sony purchased Minolta and most of Minolta's old glass lenses work on my camera. That is the main reason I purchased my Sony. I love my Sony camera.
PS- you can find some really old sweet Minolta glass lenses on ebay for my camera. ;)
Anywho, I bought myself a present last Friday and it arrived today. I decided to upgrade my camera base. Isn't it pretty?
With how much technology has changed, over the last few years, this Sony A65 is a HUGE difference over my Sony A200. It is going to take some getting used to. They have moved around alot of functions I use all the time. Not to mention there are so many new neat things this camera can do. Hello, I can take video's with my new camera now. Super cool!
If you are interested in finding out more about the Sony A65 (which is actually a SLT (Single-Lens Translucent) not a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) because the mirror does not snap up when taking a photo like in a DSLR) you can watch this awesome video made by B&H Photo.
Off to go take lots of pictures. :)
PS- I do carry my camera with me all the time. I use this small travel backpack camera bag made by tamrac.
What kind of camera do you have?

I love it. I just downgraded to a Canon point & shoot actually. My big Nikon was getting to big & clunky to carry around - especially on vacations.
Looking forward to more shots from you. I got myself a Canon 650D last year and still learning how to use it fully.

I have an old Minolta film SLR that I love too. I've kept it and all my great lenses. Sony wasn't doing so well when I purchased my first Digital SLR and I considered it for the same reason, but I love my Nikon digital.
Enjoy that new Camera!
