What was the last movie you went to the movie theater to see?
Last Saturday Jeff & I went and saw Hot Tub Time Machine. I have never laughed so hard at a movie before. It was HILARIOUS!!

Yummy!!
One of my favorite things to make is my mom's banana bread recipe. It is soooo YUMMY! It makes me smile every time I pull out the green paper my mom wrote the recipe on. I can still remember the her giving me the recipe when I was living in my first apartment along with the dry ingredients.
See my utensil holder? I had a different one before, but it just seemed to big for the space. I was on a search for a while to find a new one. They all seemed to big & too expensive. I was so happy when I finally decided to use a dollar store glass vase. I LOVE it!! Works perfect for me. =D
Onto the yummy recipe...
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 Cup Milk
3 Tablespoons oil
1 egg
1 cup Mashed Bananas (I typically use whatever brown bananas I have...I used 4 this time)
Preheat Oven 350degrees. Grease & Flour 9x5x3 pan
Mix dry ingredients in lg bowl.
Mix milk, egg & oil together (with fork) in separate bowl (I do this in the measuring cup where I measure the milk)
Mix dry & wet together & then stir in banana.
Pour into pan and bake for 55 min or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan.
***I usually add sugar to the top of the banana bread before I bake it. That was something I added to the recipe for my husband.***

Wordless Wednesday - The Donut
Last Thursday Lily & I went to Wegmans after Ian's honor roll breakfast. Lily asked me to buy her a donut. She carefully picked out her special treat. When she finished lunch she asked if she could have her special donut. She took a couple bites and acted like she was done. I left the donut on the dining room table in-case she wanted more. All of a sudden I looked up and Lily was at the table again eating her donut...
She was so proud of herself.
I am off to a mom's panel at Fisher Price Headquarters this morning. (Our family loves toy testing & I love attending mom's panels!) Have a wonderful Wednesday!!
For more WW check out 5 Minutes for Mom, WW & 7 Clown Circus.
Is there anymore left?....
YEP!

Take Me Back Tuesday & Flashback Friday
Not sure of the years on either of these photos. I got both of them from Jeff's grandmother (his dad's mom).
The photo above is of my husband, Jeff (he is holding Curious George), and his family in the basement of the house he grew up in.. My husband is the youngest of 3 boys. All 3 are red heads....what are the odds?
In order of left to right...Bob (oldest), Jeff (youngest), Denny (middle child). My mother-in-law LOVED to buy stripes and plaids.
(The 3 boys had 6 kids and only 1 has red hair.)

6th Photo Blog Game
Sandra over at Sawdust & Paper Scraps tagged me in a game of "6th Photo published on your blog". Before I show you the photo you should really check out her blog, she is one talented lady!
Back to the photo game. I have had written 553 posts (including this one). I started blogging July 18th, 2008.
So here is the 6th photo that is posted on my blog...
This photo of Lily came from this post, titled My Kids.
This is what I wrote about this shot...
"What a diva! My 19m old daughter loves dress-up and all things girly. She is also very sassy. These pictures say it all. She was sooooo proud of herself. We had to go to JoAnns looking like this."
*sniff* Time goes by soooo fast. Kids grow so quickly. Look at how short her hair was & the little roll on her upper thigh. *sigh* I remember this day and taking these photos like it were yesterday.
I am not one for tagging ppl here on my blog. I am a rebel like that. If you would like to participate, please do so. If you participate, leave me a comment with your link I would love to stop by and check your photo out.

Sunday Citar
And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley, "The Sensitive Plant"
Lily & I took a walk down the street to admire the tulips. They were beautiful.
Thank you for stopping by Sunday Citar! This blog quote meme was created by Fresh Mommy. You can stop by her blog to see the quotes and photos that she and everyone else is loving right now.

This weeks question is:
How many computers do you have?
We have 4 total. We have 1 desktop (the kids mainly use it & our printer is typically hooked up to it) & 3 laptops (1 laptop is REALLY old & slow so we never use...we let Ian use it). It's not abnormal to see my husband & I on dueling laptops in the evening.

Dear So and So... wk11
Dear Verizon,
I am disappointed that my internet is running really S...L...O...W. I am paying for high speed....so pick it up. I also wish your technical support was located in the US. I would really like to speak to a person I can understand.
Annoyed, melanie
Dear Ian,
I am really proud that you made Honor Roll this marking period! All of your hard work has paid off. I am also proud that you told someone in charge at school about the knife someone showed you on the bus. You did the right thing, that is definitely something that should be brought to school.
Love, mommy
Dear school,
I think suspending the kid (4th grader) who brought the pocket knife to school for 3 days was a bit over reacting. He never threatened anyone with it. He was remorseful and his parents had an appropriate attitude about the situation. Taking a photo of the "weapon" and a 3 day suspension was over the top in my opinion.
Ian's mommy
Dear Lily,
You crack me up every day. Those "ballet moves" of yours are priceless.
Love, mommy
Dear Fisher Price,
Polly Pockets little shoes SUCK! I think the people who developed them should be made to sit all day with 3yr olds & their Polly Pockets.
Lily's Mommy
Dear Jeff,
Looking forward to date night on Saturday.
Your loving wife. ;)

Wordless Wednesday - Strawberry Shortcake
Here she is...
(I think I am still going to add a tiny nose to her and then the freckles to that.)
For more WW check out 5 Minutes for Mom, WW & 7 Clown Circus.
**From the comments some ppl left on this post, quite a few people thought I made the 2 figurines that were pictured in that post. I wish I were that good. I said "I made an old school one similar to these figurines". Those pictures were of vintage figurines that I found on etsy (the links to each figuring were under each photo). Sorry for the confusion.**

A flower...
Friday & Saturday were really dreary days here in Buffalo. On Friday, while playing with clay I made this flower. I am totally on the fence...should I make this into a magnet or a pendant? (The flower measures about 1.5 inches wide)
I also made this bead on Friday, too. I think I am going to put a headpin through it and make it into a pendant...adding some crystals.
Here they are together.
Hope you have a day filled with SUNSHINE!!
