This weeks question is:
What are the names of the grocery chains where you live?
Here in Buffalo, the 2 main grocery chains are Tops Markets (based out of Buffalo, NY) & Wegmans (based out of Rochester, NY). Until the day I gave birth to my oldest son (he will be 9 in July...when did that happen?) I worked for Tops in their corporate headquarters. I was an office supervisor and used to bill vendors for the demonstrations (those ppl who hand you food to try) in the stores. I also found out a cool piece of information yesterday. My sister has been using Ancestry.com and according to the 1930 census that my Grandpa's grandfather, George W Hartzel, was a dentist in Rochester, NY. His neighbor was Frank Wegman, a fruit and veg merchant. How neat!
Don't forget to enter my Giveaway for Tuesday, here and that for every children's bracelet I sell in my shop this week 100% of the sale will be donated to the Tuesday Whitt Foundation.

I LOVE Wegmans when I'm in New York! When I took my husband to Buffalo for the first time, we set aside one night to go to Wegmans (and now the husband loves it too.) Sadly, my dad and stepmom moved to Florida last August. My next trip to NY will be in October for a wedding, and I highly doubt I'll be able to do much grocery shopping.
We have Ingles and Bi-Lo in my area, but Ingles is locally owned and huge in our region. We also have Earth Fare and Greenlife. Earth Fare was started in Asheville and is pretty popular.
Raley's and Savemart, and Winco is the big cheap one :)! I live in Modesto, CA!
We have Kroger, if you want to drive 20 minutes we have Wal-Mart and Meijer and if you want to drive 35-40 minutes you can find a Giant Eagle, Sam's, CostCo and others.
