Dear Verizon,
I am disappointed that my internet is running really S...L...O...W. I am paying for high speed....so pick it up. I also wish your technical support was located in the US. I would really like to speak to a person I can understand.

Dear Ian,
I am really proud that you made Honor Roll this marking period! All of your hard work has paid off. I am also proud that you told someone in charge at school about the knife someone showed you on the bus. You did the right thing, that is definitely something that should be brought to school.
Love, mommy
Dear school,
I think suspending the kid (4th grader) who brought the pocket knife to school for 3 days was a bit over reacting. He never threatened anyone with it. He was remorseful and his parents had an appropriate attitude about the situation. Taking a photo of the "weapon" and a 3 day suspension was over the top in my opinion.

Dear Lily,
You crack me up every day. Those "ballet moves" of yours are priceless.
Love, mommy
Dear Fisher Price,
Polly Pockets little shoes SUCK! I think the people who developed them should be made to sit all day with 3yr olds & their Polly Pockets.

Dear Jeff,
Looking forward to date night on Saturday.

There seems to be a lot of overreacting about "weapons" in school. Understood there have been some scary situations that have come out of lax standards, but going the polar opposite is a little over the top.
OMG, HATE Polly shoes. I like whoever decided to just paint the dang shoes on the little Polly sized Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty dolls. No lost shoes there!
I'm sure the child didn't know why a pocketknife was a bad idea. It's good he learned a lesson but yes, that was extreme. Even so, your son is a wise boy to tell.
LOL about the Polly pockets!
And yes, Ian did the right thing.
Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead! :)
As a mother who has been putting Fawn's (from Tinkerbell) clothes back on all day long, I can totally commiserate. LOL! Love these posts Melanie.
Thanks for making me smile. Kxx
Haha, I can totally relate to the Polly Pocket shoes. My girls don't play with them much anymore (thank goodness!)
Hope you had a great date night! Congrats Ian!!! And seriously 3 days for that kid AND a picture??? Someone was telling me about her kid being suspended for bringing his pocket camping thing (with a tiny fork spoon and butter knife)that he got from the cub scouts that he participates in AT THE SCHOOL.
I grew up in Colorado and even lost a friend at Columbine, so I know full well the impact and caution that needs to be taken in schools. But a cub scout knife?!?!!
